Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald

Set your calendars for 7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 12, when R. Steve Ackerman from the University of Wisconsin-Madison will be live via Zoom to talk about the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, the freighter that sank in Lake Superior during a storm on November 10, 1975, with the loss of the entire crew of 29 men. It is also the title of a 1976 hit song written, composed and performed by Canadian singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot.
Joining via Zoom means you can participate from the comfort of your own home and don't have to worry about weather, bad roads, or night driving.
