Due to the recent retirement of our current director, the Poy Sippi Public Library is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and creative person with a strong dedication to customer service to become our Library Director.
Recently awarded the Small Libraries Create Smart Spaces Grant from OCLC, Poy Sippi Library is full of small-town charm and inviting atmosphere. Quaint community in beautiful Waushara County, Poy Sippi is full of outdoor attractions, including the community park on the Pine River.
The board is looking for someone to continue building on the creative work of our previous director. The Director will be expected to enhance the current high level of public service and develop a long-range plan to ensure the library’s future as an information and cultural center for the greater Poy Sippi area.
A minimum of 54 credits of a bachelor’s degree and eligibility for a Grade III Public Librarian Certification required. Supervisory and library experience preferred Additionally preferred qualifications include: Other preferred qualifications include a demonstrated commitment to professional development for staff and self, proficient technology experience, including Microsoft Word and Excel, Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. New or current MLIS students encouraged to apply.
This is a part-time position at 25 hours a week. Some evenings and weekends required. The starting pay is $20,000 a year; benefits include PTO.
