Paul Schanen, author of Native American Artifacts of Wisconsin, was on hand Wednesday evening at the Poy Sippi Public Library to talk about arrowheads, atlatls, omarolluks, and other interesting items. Fourteen people attended the event, many of them bringing in their own artifacts collected over the years.
In the photo below, Gabrielle and Wyatt Lemberger show off their arrowhead, which they learned is about 2,000 years old and made of chirt. In the other photo, Schanen demonstrates how an atlatl was used.
