Easter Egg Hunt - Greatest Day Ever!

Over 100 children and adults participated in the Poy Sippi Library's Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20th.  The weather could not have been better; sunny and warm, the perfect combination to have a great time.  Thank you to everyone who helped make this a success:  Kay Rothe for her donation of candy & toys for the give-away bags and baskets (she filled every bag herself!), Doris Bergemann for the donation of stuffed bunnies, Loyal 4-H for donating baskets, filling all the plastic eggs and hiding them outside (great job on spreading them everwhere on the grounds!), Country Rose Shop for filled Easter Baskets, The Poy Sippi Lions for the donation of money to purchase the books included in the gift bags, Thrivant for their monetary donation for supplies, Foritifi Bank for running the food stand and donating the proceeds to the library, (the brats and hot dogs were delicious), plus Easter Baskets for giveaways, and the Poy Sippi Library Board for all the support and help on Saturday.  It is because of the dedication to the library that events like this support our community and the library.  Thank You!

"Put it On Hold, Please"

The Winnefox Library System is trying a new way to circulate materials in the catalog.  Now we have all 30 libraries sharing their materials.  What this means to you is this...titles, especially new titles, may not be here on the shelf, but we can request them for you.  Better still, you can go to the website and "Search the Catalog."  If you need any help with placing holds on any title, stop in and see us.  We'll be glad to help.  To make it a little easier for you, we now have a computer dedicated to the catalog, where you can easily access your account and place holds.

Calling All Knitters & Crocheters! Let's Get "Clicking!"

Are you interested in getting together at the library for an hour every once in  a while to knit or crochet purple baby caps?  If so, give Jeanne a call or stop in at the library.  As we gather interested knitters and crocheters, we can pick a day & time.  Why are we doing this?  It's for the babies!   The "Click for Babies" campaign is designed to get people talking about shaken baby syndrome, while providing hats as a reminder that babies can cry a lot and all babies go through this.  For more information about "Click for Babies" visit their website https://www.clickforbabies.org/.
